The Padilla Miami 8 & 11 is a medium to full-bodied stick that is handmade at the El Titan de Bronze factory in Miami. Its named after the intersection of where the original Padilla factory was located on the corner of 8th Street and 11th Avenue in Miami, Florida. This cigar features a natural Nicaraguan Cuban-seed corojo wrapper that covers a Nicaraguan binder and filler. The Padilla Miami 8 & 11 delivers notes of earth, pepper, and, cedar.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Production of cigars in the United States, once a thriving industry, is now mainly machine made cigars. They are still being produced in the last remaining cigar factory from the 1890s, the JC Newman Cigar factory in Tampa. However, in recent years boutique brands have flourished and are being handmade by select rollers in Miami, Florida.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Nicaraguan cigar wrappers are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Wrappers grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro wrappers are all produced in Nicaragua.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.

Excellent refined cigar. I do prefer the thicker vitolas but this was a great stick too. Medium and earthy on front half and picks up intensity on back half. A bit pricey but a good special occasion cigar for sure.

I bought 3 of these and the first one i smoked the draw was so tight i couldn’t enjoy it. I hope the other 2 gets better because i heard this was a good cigar. The draw was the worst i have ever had

The 8&11 is a certified classic. This vitola is phenomenal and El Titan de Bronze did a killer job rolling them, as per usual. I just wish they weren't so limited!

A classic Padilla blend for a reason, put him on the map. El Titan de Bronze does amazing work and this is another blend that shows it.

My experience was similar to Martin K's below. Started medium and floral but picked up in intensity with earthy and spicy notes towards the end. Excellent draw and burn. An enjoyable hour and half smoke.

I've been smoking Padilla cigars since the mid-2000's and the Miami 8 & 11 has always been one of my favorites. Unfortunately I ran out of my original supply years ago. I was very excited to see the re-release so I grabbed two boxes. I had one single that was resting for about two months in my walk-in humidor (from another vendor) which I smoked a few weeks ago. The cigar is medium-full in body with a light beginning followed by continued growth in both taste and aroma. Mid-way the cigar was full bodied and had a great finish. The cigar did seem a bit young, so I'll circle back to the boxes after a while to see how they are developing. Would definitely buy again!

This has always been a go to for me since it’s inception and I’d name this smoke in my top 5 of all time. My only complaint is that it’s no longer produced in other vitolas. My favorite was once the Churchill when they were last produced.
