Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Natural wrapper, also known as Colorado Claro, is light brown in color.
Wrapper
Cameroon
The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Cameroon wrappers are grown in the East part of the country. The growing area spreads over the eastern border, into the Central African Republic. Wrappers are air grown, without fertilizers and pesticides, by small farmers. The average plantation size is about one acre. The seed is originally from Sumatra, introduced in the country just after WWII.

Nicaragua
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.

Douglas Dilling Why is it that some time your Cigar you are smoking burns uneven and what do you do about it?

NeptuneCigar.com Burn issues can arrise for many reasons. It may be a humidityissue or the rate at which the cigar is being smoked. If you have an uneven burn you may need a touch up with the lighter while smoking to correct the issue.

Nathan Jon McCann Why are you calling this an infused cigar? Larutan-Natural are not infused, hence the name. I’m noticing this mistake by many vendors. Labeling it as infused when it’s not probably harms sales to traditional cigar buyers.

Nathan McCann Why does your description say “ The flavors are infused for a subtle taste". when this line isn’t infused. They’re called Natural or Larutan for that reason. Many people think these are infused/flavored when they are NOT. Your description isn’t helping that. Just thought I’d bring that up. Although many associate Drew Estate with flavored and infused cigars, they've also made a name for themselves in creating classic, handmade cigars in the old tradition. Larutan (formerly Natural) cigars marked the brand's entry into this field.

As you may know, Larutan is a little different from the standard cigar, very sweet and some of the cigars in this line use aromatic tobaccos(Dirt and Dirt Torpedo). You are correct though, they are not infused and we'll be adjusting our description.

Nice stick, dark wrapper with mininal veins and tight seams. Construction is sub par, spongy with the wrapper unraveling on the last third. Cold draw is good, and tightens perfectly once lit. Sweet aroma, not overpowering. I expected a fully flavored cigar, and was happily surprised with the mildness of the flavor profile. Nice tobacco with a hint of coffee, barely any sweetness. Burn was a bit off, it did not diminish the experience. Great morning smoke.

i have a lady who enjoys the 4*32 version of these. i tried one. it was super tasty & enough to provoke me into chain smoking 2 more. i caught some Latakia & Perique notes which gave me the vibe of smoking a bowl of some navy blend. that experience prompted my buying a few singles of these mini coronas - they weren't wasn't the same. the draw, nose & retro was substantially muted compared to the 32 gauge version.

My first time smoking a torpedo. First off, there is a dark chocolate taste, a sweet dark chocolate. There is another sweet taste, separate from the dark chocolate, a mild sweetness, one that isn't over-powered by the main dark chocolate, but quite distinct. The smoke is a light one, not thick like many others. It has a nice even burn, with the ash hanging on until it gets to about an inch long. One thing I don't like is that it isn't a firm cigar, there is a softness to it, when you squeeze it a little there is a certain amount of give, that you don't get with firm or tightly made cigars. When you hit the half-way make, you will definitely notice that the shoulder area is getting soft, not because you are gripping/holding it too firmly, but because the heat is softening the tobacco. It doesn't have a strong nicotine kick, that I have tasted/experienced with other cigars. I don't mind a kick but I don't want to be too strong, just a mild buzz. There is another taste there that I couldn't identify. But I have a Larutan Churchill, so I'll see what I can get out of that. On the whole, not a bad cigar for a beginner. However, the torpedo (shape of it) is not for me.

I wasn’t sure how I would like an infused cigar, but was pleasantly surprised with this one. There was a noticeable sweetness from the moment you light the cigar. The draw was exceptionally easy, but not so much as to detract from the quality and quantity of the mouth smoke. The sweetness continues throughout the smoke building in richness. The burn was not totally even, but at no point was a re-light necessary. The ash was darker, but sturdy. About half way through the cap came off causing the end to unravel which lead me to chew on the end to keep it together. I found it to be a rich flavorful smoke. With the artificial infusion it was hard to detect any natural flavors, but I enjoyed what was there. I’m not sure I would buy a box of these, but I’ll certainly keep a few on hand in my humidor.

Super sweet wrapper but it is nicely complimented by the filler tobacco. Nice draw, average amount of smoke with a terrific aroma. I will probably keep a couple of these on hand in the humidor.

If you've got some time on your hands — the manufacturer says 2 hours and I can attest that's at least true — and you want a unique smoke, try the egg. I couldn't resist its unique appearance. Actually, it's quite good, if you like a light, moderate, aromatic smoke that lasts a lonnnnnngggggg time. It really is a cigar. Honest.

Purchased by mistake (wanted Root) for a bachelor party. Tried these to see if they would work, but was disappointed as they are artificially sweet. The Root version is much more like a 'real' cigar. Fortunately my daughter liked them and smoked them all up for me.
