Drew Estate Larutan Cigars

Natural has since been renamed Larutan ('Natural' backwards), but luckily nothing else has changed along with that. Larutan is made by Drew Estate and debuted in the year 2000, taking the cigar world by storm with its spicy aromatic blends featuring tobaccos from Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Syria, St. James Parish, Turkey and Haiti. With a flavor almost akin to pipe tobacco at times, Larutan provides an exquisite cigar smoking experience not found anywhere else.

Larutan (Formerly Drew Estate Natural)

Drew Estate pioneered the art of blending culturally diverse tobaccos from around the globe. With Larutan, this art is called 'Gourmet Blending'. The diverse tobaccos and intense fermentation process make Larutan one of the most independent and unique cigars on the market in taste and aroma. Crafted using the finest Nicaraguan leaf with traditional black smoking tobaccos from Syria, Turkey, St. James Parish and other exotic locations.

Eddie Haggard  Does Drew Estates have another cigar that is similar to the Larutan line? If not, what other brand has the same make-up & smoke?
Posted 3/17/2022
  • NeptuneCigar.com  Hi Eddie, Larutan is definitely unique, there's nothing that's very similar to it. I would say if you liked this cigar, check out Drew Estate's Isla del Sol(coffee infused). For a hint of sweet(sweet cap) look to Rough Riders or Sobremesa Brulee.

Douglas Dilling  Why is it that some time your Cigar you are smoking burns uneven and what do you do about it?
Posted 6/8/2020
  • NeptuneCigar.com  Burn issues can arrise for many reasons. It may be a humidityissue or the rate at which the cigar is being smoked. If you have an uneven burn you may need a touch up with the lighter while smoking to correct the issue.

Nathan Jon McCann  Why are you calling this an infused cigar? Larutan-Natural are not infused, hence the name. I’m noticing this mistake by many vendors. Labeling it as infused when it’s not probably harms sales to traditional cigar buyers.
Posted 11/25/2019
  • NeptuneCigar.com  Hi Nathan, this is a subject that seems to be debated among cigar smokers. Although not infused like ACID, this cigar uses aromatic tobacco and has a sweetness not found on your average cigar. We truly appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration.
    Replied 11/30/2019
  • Anonymous  That doesn’t change the fact that they’re not infused and you’re calling them infused. There’s no debate. They’re not infused. Larutan by Drew Estate is crafted using the finest Nicaraguan leaf combined with traditional black tobaccos from Syria, Turkey, St. James Parish and other exotic locales. Each front-mark has its own distinctive blend making for a unique and satisfying smoke ranging from mild to bold.

  • Anonymous  Why not just say “ this cigar uses aromatic tobacco and has a sweetness not found on your average cigar.“ instead of If you are looking for an infused cigar that still delivers a tobacco taste this is the smoke for you.

Nathan McCann  Why does your description say “ The flavors are infused for a subtle taste". when this line isn’t infused. They’re called Natural or Larutan for that reason. Many people think these are infused/flavored when they are NOT. Your description isn’t helping that. Just thought I’d bring that up. Although many associate Drew Estate with flavored and infused cigars, they've also made a name for themselves in creating classic, handmade cigars in the old tradition. Larutan (formerly Natural) cigars marked the brand's entry into this field.
Posted 10/29/2019
  • NeptuneCigar.com  Nathan, thank you for your post regarding the description. As you may know, Larutan is a little different from the standard cigar, very sweet and some of the cigars in this line use aromatic tobaccos(Dirt and Dirt Torpedo). You are correct though, they are not infused and we'll be adjusting our description.
