Recluse by Iconic Leaf Cigar company’s first blend was the OTG. Standing for “Off the Grid,” the OTG was their first step into the luxury line of cigars and does a great job in living up to its name. This flavorful Brazilian Maduro is a very unique flavor as we’ve all come to expect from cigars that use a good portion of tobacco from Brazil. There’s something uniquely earthy and sweet but captured in a very subtle and smooth way about this blend, with a small hint of savory spice off the back end. In my opinion it’s a home run and has come to be THE cigar I reach for on all occasions. Recluse’s attention to detail and construction is bettered by no other cigar maker. Like their production runs, 100% of the tobacco in their cigars go through a two-year fermentation process in order to develop the flavor and draw out the ammonia in the leaf. All of this is rolled in the old Cuban style called “entubado,” where there took each filler lead separately before rolling them together in a binder. The box pressing further enhances the perfect draw you’ll find in every stick. Please give these a try, you won’t be disappointed!
