The Weller by Cohiba is a potent yet flavorful premium cigar whose blend was created in collaboration with the makers of Weller 12 Year Bourbon, which is a smooth, balanced wheated bourbon. The cigar is blended using a filler made of Nicaraguan leaves from Esteli and Ometepe combined with Dominican Piloto Cubano tobacco. This awesome blend is then sheathed by a Habano-seed Connecticut binder and a Honduran maduro wrapper that has been aged for seven years. Once rolled, the cigar is placed in glass tubes to preserve the flavor. The Weller by Cohiba is handmade in Honduras.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Dominican Republic is the world's first producer of cigars. Most factories are located in Santiago, in the center of the island, and in close proximity to the tobacco fields grown in the fertile Cibao Valley. While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Known for its delicate yet complex tobacco, the Jalapa Valley produces some of the most prized crops in the entire industry. Rich with a simultaneously spicy and sweet flavor, Jalapa tobacco is one of the three main Nicaraguan variants that exist today.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
USA Connecticut Broadleaf tobacco is grown in the Connecticut River Valley area. The soil in this region is of glacial origins. The tobacco is dark, oily, flavorful, and aromatic. It is used primarily as a maduro wrapper, but it also serves as an excellent binder.

Brazil Mata Fina
Filler is the term used to describe the tobacco inside a cigar or the "guts" of the cigar.
Brazil produces rich, medium to strong, dark tobaccos with a sweet taste and aroma. Most of the cigar production is concentrated on the eastern coast of Brazil, in the state of Bahia. Mata Fina tobacco is grown in a region in the Reconcavo Basin of the State of Bahia called Mata Fina (which translated means "thin plants"). Tobacco was one of the natural crops in the region.

General Cigar Company manufactures premium cigars in several factories located in the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Founded by Edgar Cullman, Sr. in 1960, the company experienced incredible success with their Macanudo brand. After a series of acquisitions throughout the years that made General Cigars one of the largest cigar manufacturers in the world, the company merged with Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) in 2010.

Yeah another disappointment from Cohiba. The 2021 was the best. Last year's Full Proof is better than this year. Antique 107 is my favorite Weller and I do not get any influence. Its just a normal cohiba with a full body Broadleaf wrapper.

I really liked the 2021 Weller Cohiba (crystal tube) and the 2022 edition (black metal tube), but I did not like the 2023 edition. It was too spicy with a heavy tone and flavor of black pepper. I couldn't really taste the bourbon like with the other 2 editions. The aroma wasn't the best and the taste was just too spicy for me.

Interesting flavor on this stick that leaves no real or bad aftertaste which is nice. You can tell the leaves were aged in barrels. However, it is a marketing gimmick cigar that I purchased for Christmas gifts. With that said, it's a bit expensive for what's offered. Offered in cellophane contained in metal tubes this time I think I would have preferred the glass. The box is nice. I can't comment on the pairing with Weller.

After a lot of hype I was let down by this cigar. The draw was tight, I had to poke this stick twice. I never got any consistent smoke to enjoy the taste. I will smoke another to determine was this a one off or outlier
