Sungrown cigar wrappers come from tobacco plants that are grown directly under the sun without the use of man made tents to give shade as in Shade grown wrappers. As opposed to the Shade grown plants, sun grown tobacco plants grown thicker leaves with thicker veins and darker color. Sungrown wrappers can be appreciated for their rich taste and sweet undertones.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.
Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.
Cuban Seed
The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.

A very beautiful and special cigar made by the Perdomo family in Esteli, Nicaragua, starting with the fact that the Nicaraguan tobaccos in this blend are aged for 7 years, and also because of all the tobaccos are cultivated in Perdomo's "Finca Natalie" farm and are the top 3% of the state crop.This makes this cigar a Nicaraguan "puro". The ESV line is also a tribute to the late Nick Perdomo, Sr. You will find this box pressed toro is full of surprises: it is a medium to full bodied, pleasant smoke with prominent spice from the reddish sun grown wrapper, but dried fruit (cherries, raisins) and wood flavors also make an appearance. Strength is full and construction is flawless. A very refined offer by Tabacalera Perdomo, and one that you would be remiss to refuse.

Wow... this is one beefy smoke! Thick smoke output, very spicy, medium-full body cigar. Very tasty if you enjoy strong, full body cigars. Warning: make sure you smoke this gar on a full stomach. Not for light weights.

Wrapper has a nice brownish color to it. Construction looks solid. Open draw lots of smoke production, hard bite on retrohale smoothing out after first few puffs. Creamy caramel/brown sugar almost on flavor notes at start. Really mellows out after first third. Midway through baking spice or all spice joins flavor profile, remains a touch below medium on body and strength throughout. Burn was good required no touchups. Not much change on the stick from there. Very solid Medium smoke.

I was hesitant to try this line as I do not normally smoke Perdomo’s. However, this one is very well done, interesting vitola, very woody and spicy on the flavor profile, not too heavy , about medium. Very good burn line, draw excellent.I would get this again and also try the Maduro version next time.
