About: Plasencia Cosecha 146 San Luis Toro 5"3/4 * 54
This is one review I am really thrilled to share. The Honduran wrapper of the Plasencia Cosecha 146 San Luis has a beautiful color to it. This was a wrapper that did not have much oil on it, but it had more of a silky complexion. To kick off my experience with the Plasencia Cosecha 146 San Luis, I went with a V-cut. The dry draw delivered a mix of dusty earth, cedar, and cocoa. The first draws of the cigar delivered a true mix of earth, cocoa, and cedar notes with an underlying creamy texture. As the Plasencia Cosecha 146 San Luis moved through the first third, there were times the cocoa became more prominent. The second third of the cigar saw the cedar notes moved toward the forefront joining the earth notes, as the cocoa notes shifted to the background. In the last third, the cedar notes became the main flavor, while the cocoa, and earth notes remained secondary notes – balancing the cedar in the forefront nicely. This is the way the Plasencia Cosecha 146 San Luis came to a close. The Plasencia Cosecha 146 San Luis is a well-constructed cigar and this is reflected nicely on the burn and draw, it kept a straight burn path and did not require a single touch-up. The burn rate and burn temperature were spot on. In terms of strength and body, the Plasencia Cosecha 146 San Luis stayed true to its medium range. The increase in intensity of strength and body leveled off in the second third and remained constant for the duration of my smoking experience. Plasencia has been making truly great cigars for a long time, and they aren’t missing a beat with any of their own blends. The Plasencia Cosecha 146 San Luis that delivers solid flavors, and with every draw, the flavors simply shine. As for myself, this is a cigar that I will smoke again and worthy of having multiples in my humidor.
