Los Caidos (Spanish for “The Fallen”) cigars were created by Steve Zengel, the founder of “Life of a Ridetime”, an organization dedicated to helping the families of police officers and firefighters who were killed in the line of duty. Part of the proceeds from the sales of Los Caidos Cigars goes to help these families ($1 per cigar). The Los Caidos Cigars are handmade at the Tabacos Valle de Jalapa factory in Nicaragua, which makes cigars for Illusione and Warped Cigars among other top-rated cigar brands. From wrapper to filler, the Los Caidos cigar is a Nicaraguan puro with a mild to medium bodied flavor profile.
Cigar Origin
Nicaragua
Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.
