Camacho Criollo

The Camacho Criollo, called Camacho Havana prior to 2013, mellows the authentic Corojo tobacco in the binder with the use of Honduran Criollo and Dominican Piloto Cubano in the filler, and a Habano Criollo 1998 4th priming wrapper. The Criollo wrapper is grown by the Eiroa family in the fertile Jamastran Valley of Honduras, a region where perfect soil and ideal climate compare to Cuba's renowned Vuelta Abajo region. If you like Camacho Corojo but want something less powerful from time to time, the Camacho Criollo is for you. Medium to full bodied.

The mildest of the Camacho line I have tried. It is very nice and burned great.
About: Camacho Criollo Toro 6" * 50
I'm quickly becoming a real Camacho fan! This Criollo started out with bold and well balanced flavors of hay and toasted oak with a nice earthy/muddy mellowness. Into the second third it transitioned into a nice cedar profile, still with warm earthy qualities. Into the last third, it drenches your palate with sweet tobacco, black pepper and toast. On the strength-o-meter, this cigar hardly moves the needle, but on the body-meter, it comes in at a solid medium +. The construction was perfect. Perfect resistance on the draw, perfect burn and very easy to maintain. Its cherry easily stays warm while you take a break to mix another drink. Overall: This is definitely, another buy-a-box cigar from Camacho! Also, if you've never bought a box of Camachos before, be prepared to admire the packaging. The boxes are beautifully finished and well built. They're wonderful for repurposing after the cigars are gone. Pairing notes: To me, this cigar shouts"tequila". Try it with your favorite anejo neat, or even with a well made Margarita.

Full body taste. More complex than many medium cigars. Will keep them in my humidor.

This cigar is perfect for people who like a cigar with spice that is not overpowering. Nice line in Camacho family.
