Released in April 2013, the Nica Puro is, as its name suggests, the first Nicaraguan Puro produced by Alec Bradley. The company took its time releasing this outstanding cigar, wrapped in a gorgeous Nicaraguan Habano wrapper, and handmade with binder and fillers from Nicaragua. The predominant flavors of this smoke are earthy and peppery, with notes of cocoa, cinnamon and nut. A great cigar that produces lots of smoke and burns extremely well.

Most cigars are manufactured in the Caribbean and Central America.
Despite many decades of war and revolution in this Central American country, the cigar industry has thrived due to the hard work and tenacity of Cuban exiles to the land such as Plasencia, Padron, Oliva, Ortez, and others. Tobacco has been a force of social stability, and the country is now one of the principal exporters of premium cigars in the world.

Cigar wrapper color varies from green (Double Claro or Candela) to black (Maduro or Oscuro) with a full range of browns in between.
Natural wrapper, also known as Colorado Claro, is light brown in color.

The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
Nicaraguan cigar wrappers are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Wrappers grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro wrappers are all produced in Nicaragua.

The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together.

Steven Castle Are the Nico Puro Bajito discontinued for what reason as I really want to order some singles and not a box?

NeptuneCigar.com Hi, they are discontinued, unfortunately. For what reason we do not know, but if you enjoyed the Bajito you may want to try Alec Bradley Black Market Esteli, Joya de Nicaragua Antano Dark Corojo, or AJ Fernandez Bellas Artes.

Fatima Zeidiah Hello Neptune staff ! I bought the diamond rough cut and kept it in my humidor for about a couole od months. I just lit the cigar and have to say that im very disappointed with it ! I couldn't smoke it and had to throw it out by the first third......no bueno !! Very tight draw and couldn't stay lit

NeptuneCigar.com We're sorry to hear that, Fatima. Cigars are hand rolled and from time to time you may find one that may have been rolled too tightly. To help with this, you can try loosening the tobacco by rolling the cigar between your palms applying slight pressure. You can also use what is called a cigar poker. This is tool that you insert at the head of the cigar to airate the cigar. We hope you find these tips helpful.

CONSTRUCTION: firm pack, beautiful red leathery wrapper, good caps. Perfect easy draw, great smoke output. COLD DRAW: salty leather, fermented fruit, chocolate, cream. -not a lot of transition so I’ll just tell it In one- Rich chocolate and black pepper, nice creamy and thick with a woody finish. Pepper calms down and introduces lightly roasted coffee and tropical fruit. Great quality cigar

Amazing smoke! Deep and rich smoke, with a variety of flavors. The dry pulls is light, effortless and rewarding. It hints at an easy smoke and a relaxing experience. 1/3 has vanilla and creamy notes, almost like a cappuccino. It is rewarding and draws you in. The 2/3 gives way to notes of earth, leather and I experienced an oak flavor as well. On the retrohale there was a back note of red apple. It was quiet but yet distinct and seemed to encourage the smoker to continue. The final 1/3 shifted into a full body smoke. I experienced this at the foot of the band and beyond. It turned into a sort of brandy, there was a sweetness to it and a little spice. Something I would compare to a birria tacos, with a drop of a sweet note. It is one hell of smoke, several gears of strength, smooth transitions and a variety of notes to delight the smoker.

Unique shape- more of a teardrop than a diamond, beautiful oily wrapper, burn and draw were excellent with a shallow vcut, first third was very smooth with a cocoa finish and imo the best part of the cigar, pepper ramped up a bit after that and the final third was a little bitter but nothing major, will be ordering more of these, good smoke

Great cigar! Excellent flavor, full and spicy - not for the faint of heart. Great aroma and easy draw, even with a punch cut. It unraveled a bit, which was probably my fault due to impatience to enjoy the flavor, and lead to an uneven burn. This was my first AB Nica Puro Diamond Rough Cut. I eagerly anticipate my next one!

Exceptional cigar with a host of complex rewarding flavors. I have burned through ten of these sticks that I consider “near” full flavored and bold but close. A host of cedar, leather, earth and a hint of berry; maybe blackberry, which adds a subtle sweet twinge at about half smoked. Impeccable construction, not tight, but rolled with some compassion and skill. Very well done and presented, easily a 90 to 93 level work of art!

I've enjoyed these cigars--they have great flavor and smoothness. A lot of mocha and hints of chocolate. Halfway down they struggle to stay lit, though--nearly all have required touch ups due to an inverted ash problem.

Nica Pura Diamond Cut is probably one of the best full body cigars I've tryed. It's appearance and tastes is one you would love to share with friends. It has a nice slow burn so you can take your time and enjoy the smooth aroma of one of this fine cigar.

Hints of wood a cherry with some cinnamon and pepper throughout. A fairly open draw with? a decent burn that required a couple of touch ups. My only real complaint is a fairly quick smoke time. I'm pretty good about making cigars this size last a good hour and a half but only got about an hour out of this one. That said, given the price and the very good flavor I will gladly smoke these?again.

Interesting smoke. It has a very unique shape, diamond press, that definitely catches eyes. Down side is it makes the draw a little difficult. Required constant touch ups, but the taste and aroma were great. Very mild with nice earthy flavors.

I really wanted something different and unique this week so when I came across this smoke I knew I had to try it. While cigars of today come in many shapes this cigar really is shaped exactly like a diamond! The wrapper feels velvety and smooth and the edges of the diamond shape are clearly defined. Prior to the initial light I was amazed by the very distinct floral aroma coming off not only the foot but also the wrapper, complete with fruit, oak leaves and earth. Upon lighting I was met with many flavors mostly black pepper but also cedar, coffee and a tiny bit of dried fruit. The cigar is full bodied from the start and remains that way throughout the smoke. This stick brings so many flavors to the table and I really enjoyed every minute. This is a really great example of a full flavored stick, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

The Nica Puro is everything a Nicaraguan cigar should be. It all starts with an extensively fermented Nicaraguan Habano wrapper. These are great cigars, Alec Bradley did a great job..They taste kinda nutty, kinda earthy with leather and slight spice.

Great construction, no burn issues, or flaws. This cigar produced tons of thick smoke. Overall a good cigar, not one I would go out of my way to pick up again unless the price was right .
