This special edition Joya de Nicaragua Green Room Clasico has the perfect combination of flavor, punch and style. Celebrating the history of the Joya de Nicaragua brand, here you have a well-balanced nutty and creamy stick, with notes of toasted bread, wood, and a little peppery touch. At one point I also detected notes of hard pretzel among a soft and earthy profile. Solid construction and an excellent draw gives this diadema extra points, and its Ecuadorian Shade wrapper might have you thinking it will be super mild, but everything else in this cigar is Nicaraguan so its gonna have a little Nicaraguan punch. This is probably why Richard Nixon in the 70s named Joya de Nicaragua the official White House cigar, as they gifted the Clasico to guests in the White House's Green Room during that decade. If you like a complex cigar with an elegant touch, this is the one you have to try. Because finally, you don't have to be invited to the White House to find this amazing piece of history. The Island Jim Barber Pole #2 Torpedo looked so cool I had to try it! This is a well balanced cigar that's perfect for when you want something different in your day. It's smooth and creamy, with a lot of nuttiness and a slight cedar note. I thought it was mild to medium in strength, and visually very different than most cigars thanks to the dual barber pole wrapper that combines the Connecticut and Corojo wrappers in a stylish way. Construction was excellent, the ash was super solid, and when passing the halfway point it hits you with some more toasted woody flavors, along with a sharp shot of nicotine before it's over. Overall, the Island Jim's sweet earthy notes make it an experience you need to try for yourself! Picked on 05/31/2026

I had never tried a lancero before this, and I wanted something good to make my first time a memorable one. I chose a cigar from one of my favorite brands, My Father. I was enjoying this cigar the second I twisted the pig tail off and began lighting! At first puff, I detected notes of leather and cedar, then it hits you with the smoothness of cream and wood. After the first third you start to feel a little bit of leathery pepper, it's amazing how the cigar literally evolves from creamy cedar to that nutty spice. It burns evenly, has a solid white ash, also has a very oily wrapper that provides a fruity/woody/buttery aroma that makes it unforgettable. Such a great cigar from the beginning to the very end. Perfect medium-plus strength stick to begin your day or finish your afternoon shift... I think I'm officially a lancero fan. Picked on 12/28/2025
