This medium-strength cigar offers a memorable smoking experience that only comes from tobaccos that have been carefully aged for at least 15 to 19 years. Its smooth, honey hued Dominican Corojo wrapper covers a Dominican binder and a specially select blend of filler leaves from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Expertly handmade at the storied La Aurora cigar factory in the Dominican Republic. The Lot No. 2 Vintage Salomon is the second release in the La Aurora Small Batch series. Due to the limited availability of the tobaccos used in this blend, it is being release in limited quantities. Only 222 boxes of 10 cigars per box were made!

Due to the limited quantities of these aged tobaccos, they are only available in small batches. Because of the advanced age of the tobaccos used in this series, each release offers a unique blend and flavor profile that cannot be repeated. The cigars are handmade in the Dominican Republic at the La Aurora cigar factory under the watchful eyes of Manuel Inoa, La Aurora’s master blender.

While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

  The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
  Corojo wrapper was first developed in Cuba in the 1930s and quickly became popular as the wrapper on some of the best cigars. By the end of the 90s, Cuba stopped growing Corojo wrapper because of its susceptibility to pests and diseases. Ironically, Corojo wrapper has since become more popular outside of Cuba, as it has been replicated in tobacco farms in Nicaragua, Honduras, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic.

  Dominican Republic is a traditional tobacco-growing country. In the 60's, a Cuban seed was introduced and the resulting tobacco, called Piloto Cubano, became famous as a good substitute of the Cuban tobacco that was no longer allowed to enter the USA. Piloto Cubano is full bodied while the Dominican Olor tobacco is milder but more aromatic.
