La Galera 85th Anniversary

To commemorate the Tabacalera Palma’s more than eight decades of crafting fine cigars, famed cigar maker Jose “Jochy” Blanco enlisted his son, Jose Manuel, to help develop a memorable blend. The results? Both father and son created a blend so exquisite that they decided to offer each blend as part of the La Galera 85th Anniversary. Jochy’s blend was inspired by his father, Don Nanan, who was a huge fan of the Connecticut Shade wrapper and uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade capa. When developing his blend, Jose Manuel drew inspiration from his father’s love of experimenting with different tobaccos. His blend uses a savory, dark USA Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. Both blends share a Dominican Corojo binder, and a filler made of Criollo ’98 and Dominican Republic Piloto Cubano tobacco. Each box of the La Galera 85th Anniversary comes with 10 cigars of the Shade and 10 of the Broadleaf. The La Galera 85th Anniversary cigar is a fitting tribute to this historic brand’s legacy.
The La Galera 85th Anniversary Limited Edition Toro was created to celebrate the founding of the historic Tabacalera Palma factory in the Dominican Republic, which is owned by Jose “Jochy” Blanco. This commemorative cigar is available in two wrappers: a smooth Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper whose blend was developed by Jochy himself. And a rustic USA Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper which was blended by Blanco’s son Jose Manuel Blanco. Both cigars use a Dominican Corojo binder, and a filler made of Criollo ’98 and Dominican Republic Piloto Cubano tobacco. Jochy’s blend has a naturally sweet profile with touches of spice. Jose Manuel’s blend has a leathery profile with hints of spice. Each box comes with 10 cigars of the Connecticut Shade wrapper and 10 of the Broadleaf. Only 2,021 boxes of 20 cigars per box were made of the La Galera 85th Anniversary Limited Edition Toro so order yours today before they are all gone.
