S.T. Dupont Line 2 Perfect Ping Dragon Scales Lighter

The Year of the Dragon 2024 was the source of inspiration for S.T. Dupont’s Line 2 Perfect Ping Dragon Scales Lighter. This beautifully appointed lighter’s body is designed to resemble the scales of a dragon, as its name implies. The “scales” are engraved onto the lighter’s metal body and lid using a complex engine-turning process referred to as Guilloche Technique. This is a precise and intricate process that is only assigned to the most skilled engravers. After the dragon scales are applied, experienced artisans add layers of lacquer to the engraved piece. Each layer is polished before the next one is applied. The combined techniques give the finished product a stunning three-dimensional illusion. This collectible, refillable lighter uses a flint ignition system that is actuated with an ignition roller, which features 24 grooved lines for ease of operation. Like the mythical dragon, when ignited the lighter exhales two soft candle flames that will easily light your cigar. And of course, when opened the lighter emits S.T. Dupont’s perfect ping sound.
