Most cigar crafters like to name their cigars and/or the vitolas after historic moments, literary works, tobacco-growing regions, family members, or even themselves. Not so with the RoMa Craft Neanderthal HS, which was named after Hermann Schaaffhausen, a German anthropologist who helped identify Neanderthal 1, a 40,000-year-old fossil, found by workers in the Kleine Feldhofer Grotte cave. The HS cigar is a medium bodied corona extra that sports an oily USA Connecticut Broadleaf Habano wrapper placed over USA Connecticut Broadleaf binder, and a filler composed of Dominican Republic, Nicaraguan and USA Pennsylvania leaves. This interesting three-nation blend combines to offer a spicy and sweetness profile that will appeal to both the novice as well as the veteran aficionado. The RoMa Craft Neanderthal HS is handmade in Nicaragua.
