The EP Carrillo Legacy 5-Cigar Sampler is like a greatest hits’ album composed by former jazz musician turned cigar crafter Ernesto Perez Carrillo. This specially arranged sampler features one each, toro-sized: Elencos Elites, Seleccion Oscuro No. 6, La Historia Box-pressed, and New Wave Connecticut Divino.   EP Carrillo Elencos

  EP Carrillo Elencos was first released by Ernesto Carrillo as a limited edition cigar in 2010. Available in 3 sizes, these Dominican handmade cigars are a treat to both the eye and palate. The Brazilian Habano wrapper gives this stick dark chocolate and earthy flavors, while the Nicaraguan filler gives it a nice peppery kick. Medium to full bodied, Elencos is a well balanced cigar with great construction and medium strength.

  EP Carrillo Elite Seleccion Oscuro

  EP Carrillo Seleccion Oscuro is on the 2016 Top 25 Cigar of the Year list. It’s dark and imposing, but don’t let that scare you. The blend isn’t as aggressive as one might think. While it’s certainly full of assertive character, it’s nuanced as well. This effect is produced by the creative blending of Mexican wrapper, Ecuadoran binder and Nicaraguan filler.

  EP Carrillo Inch Natural

  EP Carrillo's Inch Series is a limited production of less than 125,000 cigars in three different vitolas. The Inch Natural is wrapped in an Ecuador Sumatra Natural wrapper, with a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers that include Nicaraguan Viso, Dominican Piloto Cubano, Corojo and Criollo '98. The cigars are medium to full flavored sticks that have been produced to set the new standard of flavor in big ring gauges. One of the sizes in the line is a 64 ring gauge, which is 1 inch in diameter, giving the line its name.

  EP Carrillo La Historia

  The second of EP Carrillo’s 2014 new cigar releases, La Historia is born from an inspiration of the Carillo’s family history as cigar makers. This superior box pressed cigar has a chocolate colored Mexican San Andres wrapper, an Ecuadorean Sumatra binder and filler from Nicaragua. EP Carrillo La Historia is medium to full bodied with hints of dark chocolate, leather, black pepper and coffee, and a creamy long finish.

While tobacco and cigars have always traditionally been produced in the Dominican Republic, many Cuban cigar makers established in the Dominican Republic after the Cuban communist revolution, elevating the quality of Dominican cigars.

  Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, a legend in the industry since the success in the 90s of his La Gloria Cubana brand, has now created E.P. Carrillo which he runs with his family. In 2009, he began making the cigars that bear his name in his own factory called Tabacalera La Alianza located in Santiago, Dominican Republic.
