The cigar is stuffed with Nicaraguan long-filler leaves covered by a Nicaraguan Cuban-seed binder, and dressed in a smooth, golden-hued Ecuadorian Connecticut-Shade wrapper. The Nicaraguan tobaccos are grown in farms owned and operated by Aganorsa Leaf in three of Nicaragua’s top-tobacco producing regions: Condega, Esteli, and Jalapa. The weather conditions, with a nearly permanent cloudy sky, provide a natural shade, protecting the wrapper plants from sunshine and allowing the tobacco to grow thin and light. This climate allows tobacco growers to grow Connecticut-seed wrapper in the shade without shade cloths, resulting in more economical wrapper.
