A medium strength cigar with savory notes of caramel, hazelnut and hints of spice. This Nicaraguan puro features a warm brown Habano wrapper. The Montecristo Espada is the first time this historic cigar maker has had a cigar handmade in Nicaragua at the Plasencia Cigars factory.

  Traditionally, Altadis has manufactured its Montecristo cigars in the Dominican Republic. Their 2014 release, Montecristo Espada, is their first Montecristo made in Nicaragua by the Plasencia Family. The cigar is made with especially aged tobaccos grown by Plasencia, and offers a rich and complex smoke. The Montecristo Espada wrapper is a Habano Jalapa Vintage 2010, binder is a Habano Jalapa Vintage 2009, and fillers are Habano Jalapa Seco, Habano Ometepe Viso and Habano Condega Ligero harvested in 2008.
