Neptune’s Broadleaf Sampler highlights one of the cigar world’s most iconic wrappers, prized for its rugged texture, natural sweetness, and bold depth. Broadleaf wrappers primarily thrive in Connecticut’s River Valley, the rich volcanic soils of Nicaragua, and the historic fields of Pennsylvania, each region lending its own accent. These thick, hearty leaves demand extended fermentation, unlocking flavors that broadly range from earthy and cocoa-like to spicy and robust, often with natural sweetness. This collection shows how origin and process shape the many dimensions of Broadleaf.

Neptune’s Corojo Sampler explores one of the most storied seeds in the cigar world, celebrated for its spice, sweetness, and classic Cuban heritage. Originally cultivated in Cuba’s Vuelta Abajo region, true Corojo gained fame for its peppery kick and aromatic depth. Today it thrives in Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic, where each climate adds its own twist, ranging from rustic spice to earthy richness to smooth, refined sweetness.

This sampler highlights the famed Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, named “Habano” because the seeds originate from Cuban, or Habana, tobacco strains. In Ecuador’s cloud-covered valleys, these Cuban-seed plants thrive in rich volcanic soil, producing smooth, oily leaves with depth and consistency. Expect flavors of (but not limited to) earth, cedar, gentle sweetness, and varying levels of spices. The natural shade and steady climate of Ecuador make it one of the best regions outside Cuba for cultivating world-class Habano wrappers.

This sampler celebrates the bold character of Mexican San Andrés wrappers, tobacco cultivated for centuries in the fertile San Andrés Valley. Known for its thick, resilient leaf and long fermentation process, San Andrés delivers a naturally sweet, earthy depth. Expect notes of dark chocolate, espresso, pepper, and rich spice layered with a lingering sweetness. The volcanic soil and humid climate of Mexico give this wrapper its signature intensity, making it a favorite for full-bodied, complex cigars.

This sampler showcases the richness of Nicaraguan puros, cigars rolled entirely with tobaccos grown in Nicaragua. The country’s volcanic soils and varied microclimates, from Estelí’s bold, peppery strength to Jalapa’s sweeter, more aromatic leaf, give blenders a remarkable range. Flavor can shift dramatically depending on stalk position, priming, fermentation, and curing methods, with higher leaves offering more strength, while longer fermentations bring sweetness and depth. Expect earth, cocoa, coffee, cedar, and natural sweetness layered with a robust body. Nicaragua’s terroir and craftsmanship make it one of the world’s premier sources for powerful yet refined premium cigars.

This sampler highlights the elegance of Ecuadorian Connecticut wrappers, grown under the country’s natural cloud cover, which acts like a giant shade tent. The result is a silky, golden leaf prized for its smoothness and balance. Unlike U.S. Connecticut Shade, which is grown under cheesecloth tents, Ecuador’s natural cloud cover provides more consistent conditions and lower costs, producing a thinner, smoother wrapper with mellower flavor. Expect notes of cream, cedar, nuts, and subtle sweetness. Ecuador has become the leading source for Connecticut-style wrappers worldwide.
