Using a V-cutter creates an easier draw. Cutting a cigar with a V-cutter leaves a wedge-shaped cut. This exposes a greater surface area and allows the smoke to flow easier through the cigar with each draw. However, it can create a hot cigar, which makes it burn faster. V-cutters are recommended for larger ring gauge cigars, 60 and above, but you can use them on smaller gauged sticks too.
