The Mi Querida Triqui Traca No. 448 is one of those little cigars that brings a lot more to the table than its size suggests. It kicks things off with rich notes of dark chocolate, espresso, earth, and cedar, with a healthy dose of pepper adding some heat along the way. As it develops, a subtle sweetness emerges, helping balance the darker flavors. What I really like about the Triqui Traca is that it doesn't sacrifice flavor just because it's a smaller cigar. The Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper has plenty of richness, while the Nicaraguan core and Dominican ligero bring some extra strength and spice. It produces a ton of smoke and has that bold, dark profile I look for in my cigars. If you're a fan of full-flavored cigars, this is an easy one to keep around. Small cigar, big personality. The Sancho Panza Extra Chido was a pleasant surprise. From the first few puffs, I was greeted with notes of cedar, roasted nuts, earth, and a touch of black pepper that gave the cigar just enough kick without overpowering the profile. As it settled in, a creamy sweetness emerged, smoothing everything out and creating a really balanced smoke. What I enjoyed most was how effortless it was. The flavors stayed consistent, the draw was open, and the burn required almost no attention. If you're looking for a medium-bodied cigar with classic flavors, excellent construction, and a price that makes it easy to keep a few on hand, the Extra Chido is a slam dunk. The West Tampa Dark Time was a cigar I had been looking forward to ever since it was announced. Rick Rodriguez has built a reputation for making balanced, flavorful cigars, and I was curious to see what his first maduro would bring to the table. Thankfully, it didn't disappoint. From the first few puffs, I was greeted with rich notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and earth, backed by a healthy dose of black pepper. There's definitely more body here than in some of the earlier West Tampa releases, but it never crosses into harsh territory. As the cigar settled into the final third, I started picking up a subtle sweetness reminiscent of molasses, helping tie everything together. The smoke was thick and chewy, the draw was effortless, and the burn stayed razor sharp throughout the entire experience. One of the cooler touches with Dark Time is the presentation. Beyond the obvious play on the word "time," each 10-count box includes a double guillotine cutter designed to resemble a Rolex GMT-Master II. It's a fun addition that fits the theme perfectly and gives collectors a little something extra beyond the cigars themselves. What impressed me most was how approachable Dark Time remained despite its darker profile. It has enough strength and flavor to satisfy experienced smokers, but it's balanced enough that it never feels like a drag. If you're a fan of Maduro cigars or have enjoyed previous West Tampa releases, this one is absolutely worth making time for. Picked on 06/01/2026

The Alec Bradley Magic Toast Gordo is a classic for a good reason. Right out of the box, the glossy, oil-rich Ecuadorian-Honduran wrapper is eye-catching and promises a truly special maduro. Immediately upon dry drawing, creamy vanilla and soft leather greet the palate, accompanied by subtle citrus notes. Once lit, white pepper and oak step forward, rounding out the flavor and giving the first third a lively punch. In the second third, the smoke turns silky smooth and sweet, with rich leather and spice. Subtle smoky flavors of barbecue keep things interesting, while the gordo’s wide ring gauge allows the smoke to bloom fully, producing thick, satisfying clouds. The construction on this cigar cannot be understated. Wide open draw with lots of smoke, and a burn that only needed a few corrections makes it clear why Alec Bradley is one of the biggest names in the business The final third brings layered meaty sweetness and a strong cocoa note, finishing smooth and balanced. The finish on the palate is rich and smoky. This gordo would pair perfectly with a smooth bourbon or an aged rum, something sweet to cut through the smokiness Picked on 02/23/2026
