Neptune Rating

A balanced, medium-bodied profile defines the Oyama Omen #1, layering cedar, dark chocolate, and a subtle citrus brightness over a smooth, composed core. It’s expressive without being heavy, offering a refined take on a maduro-forward blend. This release from El Mago Cigars is part of the brand’s ultra-limited Tin Series, produced in small batches and distributed only through a tightly controlled network of fewer than 30 retailers nationwide . Built with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Sumatra binder and Nicaraguan fillers, the Oyama Omen is presented in a collectible tin designed as both packaging and keepsake. With only a limited run produced and availability restricted to select accounts, this is a true boutique drop that won’t be around for long.

Richer and slightly more assertive, the Mr. Almond #2 leans into notes of cocoa, sweetness, almond, and a touch of spice, delivering a fuller-bodied experience with added depth and texture. It builds on a maduro foundation but pushes the profile further into darker, more indulgent territory. Also part of the exclusive Tin Series from El Mago Cigars, Mr. Almond swaps in a U.S. Connecticut Broadleaf binder beneath its Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper, paired with Nicaraguan fillers for added body and complexity. Like the Oyama Omen, it’s limited to a small production run and released only to a select group of El Mago’s best-performing accounts, and we were lucky to be part of that club. Packaged in a collectible tin with original artwork, this is a rare, small-batch release built for those who value both flavor and exclusivity.
