Handmade in Nicaragua at AJ Fernandez’s San Lotano factory, the blend for the Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich 55 Robusto Oval was developed by Erik Espinosa of Espinosa Cigars in collaboration with Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri. It was made to celebrate Guy’s 55th birthday. Only 555 boxes of 10 cigars per box were made so order yours before they are all gone.

  Celebrity Chef and cigar aficionado turned cigar crafter Guy Fieri wanted to commemorate his fifty-fifth birthday by creating a memorable cigar. He turned to master cigar crafter Erik Espinosa and together they developed the Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich 55. It is a medium bodied cigar that features a dark chocolatey Mexican San Andres maduro wrapper. The cigar delivers a flavorful smoking experience that is perfect as a special occasion cigar or just because. The cigars are handmade in Nicaragua at AJ Fernandez’s San Lotano factory.

  The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
  Mexican tobacco is very dark and the best leaves can be used as maduro wrappers. San Andres Maduro is a thick, medium bodied dark leaf, also called San Andres Morron. Like Connecticut Broadleaf, San Andres Maduro is stalk cut and used for binder and wrapper.

  The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together. 
  Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.
