Tooth

Some cigars have teeth! When a cigar’s wrapper is described as being “toothy”, it usually means the wrapper’s tobacco has a grainy texture typically described as tiny bumps, which are small pockets of oil. While all wrappers have bumps, what makes them earn the toothy descriptor is the number of bumps on it. A wrapper with a lot of bumps on it is considered as toothy. A wrapper that is almost covered in bumps, is considered to have “teeth”. How does it affect the cigar? Fans of toothy cigars feel that the extra oils create a cigar that is full of aroma. If you want to try a toothy cigar, look for one with a Cameroon wrapper.
