Montecristo Artisan Series

Altadis USA is one of the few companies who does not rely on one individual to develop their new blends. Instead, Altadis uses a group of tobacco and cigar blending experts from different countries to use their experience and knowledge to create some of the most exquisite cigars in the market today. This group of people are called the Grupo de Maestros, and the Montecristo Artisan series was created to showcase each of these Maestros as each of the blends released under these series will be rolled by a team of skilled rollers under the Maestro's guidance. Due to this nature, the Montecristo Artisan Series cigars are limited edition and incorporate some of the best tobaccos the company has.

About: Montecristo Artisan Series Toro 6" * 54
I enjoy boutique brands as much as the next smoker, but I also like to indulge in the 'big' names as well, seeing as how they got to where they are for a reason! One of the world's most recognized names in cigars, Montecristo sells itself. This Artisan Series Toro is a special one, however, and in more ways than just availability; each one has had its contents hand-picked by 3 members of the Grupo de Maestros (http://www.cigarmaestro.com/the-maestros) and then finally rolled by just one specifically chosen master roller. The result is a cigar with impeccable construction, and a whole lot of TLC. Like many Montecristo's, notes of almond and leather intertwine throughout the smoke, with a consistent hint of wood in the background. The strength lies in-between medium and full, but yet is so smooth you'll be asking yourself if it's part of the White series! Seriously, lots of taste, but no harshness or overbearing power. Perfect burn, no relights needed, and a beautiful aroma. Hats off to the Maestros - they've rightfully earned their name.
