This special release cigar features a savory, smooth, ebony Mexican San Andres maduro wrapper that covers a Nicaragua binder and filler leaves from Esteli and Jalapa, which are two of Nicaragua’s top-tobacco producing regions. It is a box-pressed, medium to full-bodied toro that offers an invigorating smoking experience with noticeable spicy and earthy notes and an underlying sweetness. The cigars are handmade in Erik Espinosa’s La Zona factory in Nicaragua. Only 500 boxes of 20 cigars per box were made, so order yours today before they are all gone.   A box-pressed, medium strength cigar, the Villiger TAA is handmade at Ernesto Perez-Carrillo’s famed Tabacalera Alianza factory in the Dominican Republic. Its reddish Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed wrapper expertly covers a Nicaraguan binder and a filler made of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos. It is a balanced stick that delivers notes of spice with hints of sweetness. The Villiger TAA marks the first time that Villiger and Ernesto Carrillo have teamed up to create a cigar. It is available only through members of the Tobacconist Association of America (TAA), which is a group of the top tobacconists in the nation. It consists of about 80 retailers and 40 manufacturers.

  Mexican tobacco is very dark and the best leaves can be used as maduro wrappers. In San Andres de Tuxtla (in the state of Vera Cruz), there is a very interesting production of Sumatra seed wrappers. Dark air cured tobaccos are produced in Mexico, mainly in Vera Cruz and Tampico provinces, on the East Coast along the Gulf. There is also some production in Yucatan. Mexico's volcanic soil yields tobacco that is spicy and earthy, with a very distinctive flavor.

  Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.
