Like a more complex version of the Eiroa classic. It starts off with a blast of cedar, spices, and pepper. Into the second third, it begins developing an almost herbal/mineral earth note that is rarely encountered. In the final third, this flavor becomes more pronounced and the spices, pepper, and wood become more pronounced. It also is accompanied by an underlying sweetness to round out the blend. Interesting and attention grabbing flavors in this robusto. Construction is fine with a draw on the slightly loose side. One of my favorites and highly recommended to those looking to try something different.

Overall, a very smooth cigar, and the flavors were very consistent throughout the smoke, little to no changes. A very sweet, fruity smoke, zero spice, with hints of coffee and nuts. Definitely a good cigar. Construction and burn were perfect too. Strength was a solid medium+.

Got these in the 10 cigar sampler. Liked the much better than the 20 year maduro. Father in law said they tasted like Krispy Kreme donuts and pepper, so I’ll go with that. The Eiroa classic is one of my usual go to’s but I think I will be ordering a box of these soon for an occasional change of pace.

Christian Eiroa and his brand are always releasing quality cigars, and the First 20 Years Colorado Robusto is another one to add to the list. This cigar was released a few years ago, but it's one that I've always wanted to try and I finally got around to it. I'm glad I did. With a very nice Colorado wrapper and 100% Honduran tobaccos, the First 20 Colorado is medium bodied and smooth. Right after lighting I got a nice toasty note, with a small amount of spice. Not overbearing at all though. The burn was perfect, and the draw was excellent. Good aroma on this one, and the toasty note became more pronounced as time went on, almost like warm bread. Not much spice lingered after the initial first inch, and I like the sharp box pressed construction. I detected some nutty earthiness during smoking too. Overall, the First 20 Years Colorado is a great cigar that people looking to try a good puro blend can turn to with confidence. If you are looking for some of Honduras finest, well, you've found it.
