EP Carrillo Platinum Bash

To create a memorable blend for his 70th birthday, Ernesto Perez-Carrillo asked his fans to conduct a blind taste consisting of three cigars and vote on their favorite. Each cigar had a distinct blend that was kept a secret. The cigars were the same except each one had a different colored foot band (red, gold, and platinum). The cigars were then boxed (2,000 boxes were produced) and distributed. Once they smoked the cigars, the fans voted for their favorite blend online. The winning cigar had the platinum band. This fan-sourced cigar consists of an oily Mexican maduro wrapper cloaking an Ecuadorian binder and a filler composed of Nicaraguan and Dominican Republic leaves. It is a medium-strength smoke with a rich complexity befitting a cigar that celebrates a milestone birthday. The cigars are handmade in the Dominican Republic.
