A light-brown Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade leaf is intwined with a dark USA Connecticut Broadleaf to create an eye-catching Barberpole that is not typically found in a cigar of this size. This unique wrapper is draped over a Nicaraguan binder and filler. While small in stature, the Union Break is big in flavor starting with its sweet tip and then delivering notes of spice and tobacco sweetness. This climate allows tobacco growers to grow Connecticut-seed wrapper in the shade without shade cloths, resulting in more economical wrapper.

  Connecticut Broadleaf is grown in the United States' Connecticut Valley and is prized for its dark, oily, full flavored and aromatic characteristics. The plants are grown in full sun giving this cigar wrapper its characteristic sweetness. The Connecticut Broadleaf plant leaves are mainly processed as maduro tobacco. Today, Connecticut Broadleaf seeds are being grown in other countries besides the United States.
