About: Tatuaje La Verite 2013 2013 Churchill 7" * 47
Tatuaje La Verite, made in Esteli, Nicaragua at the My Father factory, is a limited edition, yearly release by Pete Johnson. Inspired as he usually is by his love of wine, the box has a label similar to those of wine bottles, and the french name of the cigar means "the truth". The cigar is advertised as a full bodied stick, so my first impression when I lit up was that the cigar was too mild and even, perhaps, weak. This is the truth. However, it was such a beautiful smoke with a very easy draw and burn that I continued smoking it, and about one inch into it the cigar starts opening up and the strength ramps up. The taste was superb and very smooth. By the final third, flavors were complex and strength was medium to full. I recommend that you age these cigars for at least 6 months, they should be great sticks for ageing.
