The Atabey Brujos is a mild to medium strength robusto that is expertly hand crafted in Costa Rica. Both the brand and the blend are the creation of Nelson Alfonso, a Cuban artist who is well-known in the cigar world for doing the artwork and packaging for the Cohiba Behike brand. The Atabey has a pleasing floral base that is accented with sweet and salty notes. This is a limited-release luxury cigar that deserves a special place in your humidor. Atabey was the supreme deity of the Taino Indians, who are considered the indigenous people of most of the Caribbean Islands.

  Nelson Alfonso is the creative director for the Golden Age design firm which has handled the branding for Habanos, S.A. cigars. In addition, he was the designer behind Padron’s 50th Anniversary humidor. Alfonso is also a gifted cigar blender and founder of Atabey Cigars. Elegantly encased in glass tubes and packaging that is collector worthy, the Atabey cigar sports a beautiful Ecuadorian wrapper and Nicaraguan binder and filler for a mild to medium-bodied smoke. The Atabey has a pleasing floral base that is accented by a sweet and salty note.
