  In 1988, Avo Uvezian, famed jazz musician turned cigar maker, launched AVO Cigars. The Signature was a popular member of AVO Cigar’s ensemble of fine cigars before it went on hiatus. The Signature was made from Avo’s personal blend of fine tobaccos. To celebrate AVO Cigar’s 30th anniversary, Davidoff of Geneva USA has brought back the Signature. The AVO Signature 30 Years is handmade in the Dominican Republic and to Avo’s exacting specifications. An elegant Ecuadorian wrapper is draped over a Dominican binder, and specially blended long fillers from the Dominican Republic. In the 60's, a Cuban seed was introduced and the resulting tobacco, called Piloto Cubano, became famous as a good substitute of the Cuban tobacco that was no longer allowed to enter the USA. Piloto Cubano is full bodied while the Dominican Olor tobacco is milder but more aromatic.
