Naming a cigar and/or its vitola after yourself, a historic moment, or a literary work is not unusual in the cigar business. However, the folks at RoMa Craft have gone one step further. They named their RoMa Craft Neanderthal JCF after Johann Carl Fuhlrot, a German paleoanthropologist who helped identify Neanderthal 1, a 40,000-year-old fossil, found by workers in the Kleine Feldhofer Grotte cave. The JCF cigar is a medium bodied robusto that is packed with Dominican Republic, Nicaraguan and USA Pennsylvania filler leaves, which are held together by a USA Connecticut Broadleaf binder. This awesome blend is then covered by a savory USA Connecticut Broadleaf Habano wrapper. Once lit, the JCF offers up an interesting interplay between spicy and sweetness flavors. The RoMa Craft Neanderthal JCF is hand crafted in Nicaragua.
