DeWayne Duncan You insert the probes into the foot of the cigar to check RH % but you can also do the same to the cap of cigar

I have been using this for a couple months and really like it. I know it has received a lot of criticism for not being possible to really measure "humidity" inside a cigar...but it doesnt do that. It DOES measure PMC (% moisture content) but then converts that to an RH (Relative Humidity) value so your average smoker can relate. Every time I open a box I use it to test for which cigar in a box to pick. I find that my best smokes are about 62-65% at the foot...and no more than 68% at the cap. So...for me...this is how I choose which cigar is ready to be smoked to my liking....and for that it does a great job. The device itself is very high quality and after charged up it last for weeks....plus you never need to replace any batteries. A big plus in my opinion.

This thing is a game changer! So far, it seems very accurate and it's really nice to know if you are about to waste your money by lighting a cigar that is drastically over or under-humidified. I love that it is rechargeable and the prongs are closer together on this one than the original so you can measure a smaller ring guage. This little device will now be joining me for all of my future cigar purchases.
