A full-bodied smoke with deep, rich notes of dark chocolate, earth, leather, and spice. Its oily USA Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper covers a Mexican San Andres binder, and a Nicaraguan and Honduran filler. The Tabernacle is handmade at AJ Fernandez’s Tabacalera Fernandez factory in Nicaragua.

  The Tabernacle by Foundation Cigar Company is a hearty maduro cigar made in Nicaragua. The wrapper is a Connecticut Broadleaf, which is a leaf very dear to the company's founder, Nick Melillo, who worked closely with farmers in the Connecticut valley for over 10 years. The binder is San Andres Mexican and the fillers are Nicaraguan tobaccos from 3 different regions.

  Connecticut Broadleaf is grown in the United States' Connecticut Valley and is prized for its dark, oily, full flavored and aromatic characteristics. The plants are grown in full sun giving this cigar wrapper its characteristic sweetness. The Connecticut Broadleaf plant leaves are mainly processed as maduro tobacco. Today, Connecticut Broadleaf seeds are being grown in other countries besides the United States.
