The original Punch cigar was created in 1840 by a Cuban cigar manufacturer named Manuel Lopez. In an effort to attract the British market, he named the cigar after Mr. Punch of the Punch and Judy puppet shows. Produced in Honduras under the direction of Cuban cigar master Frank Llaneza, Punch has been a leading premium brand since 1969.
Punch Gran Puro
The Punch Gran Puro is an affordable, medium-bodied Honduran puro manufactured by General Cigars. Featuring a Colorado Maduro wrapper, creamy notes of earth and cedar flood the palate, with the trademark Honduran spice appearing in full force. When you add the expert construction and consistency you've come to expect from Punch, there's no surprise that the Gran Puro has become a constant resident in cigar aficionados' humidors for decades.
Punch Gran Puro Nicaragua
Punch Gran Puro Nicaragua is a rich and savory Punch with a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper. A full bodied, robusto cigar with Nicaraguan fillers and binder. Pepper, cedar, and leather taste are in the flavor profile for this stick handmade in Nicaragua.
Punch Signature
Punch Signature, the new version of Punch launched in 2015, features an Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. It's a bolder, fuller bodied version of Punch. The wrapper of the Punch Signature is grown in the Los Rios province of Ecuador, an area nestled between two volcanic mountains, which yields exquisite tobacco with exceptional burn and taste. This wrapper has never been used before in any other cigar.
