The J.C. Newman Yagua Toro is a medium bodied premium cigar that is hand crafted using a rare rolling method, which creates a farm-fresh smoking experience. The wrapper’s USA Connecticut Broadleaf maduro leaves are pulled from their piles a few months earlier during the fermentation process. This “wet” wrapper is expertly draped over a Nicaraguan binder and filler. The rolled cigars are then tightly bound by a leaf from the Yagua tree (aka as Royal Palm). This unique process gives the cigars its rustic look and provides a rich, smooth smoking experience. Lazaro Lopez, the general manager for J.C. Newman’s factory, learned this method from his grandfather who used it for his own private blend.
