The first Short Run cigar by E.P. Carrillo made in Honduras, at none other than the Oscar Valladares factory. Destined to be a home run when two great cigar makers of different generations put their heads together to develop a blend. The EP Carrillo Short Run 2023 features an Ecuadorian wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras.

  Since 2010, Ernesto Perez Carrillo releases a very limited production called the EP Carrillo Short Run--only 1500 cigars per size are made. The cigar is medium to full bodied and boasts a very beautiful Ecuador Sumatra wrapper, with binder and fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Every year, the Short Run received great accolades, so get them while you can!

  Honduras, a Central American country which shares a border with Nicaragua, is widely known in the premium cigar industry as the ideal place to grow Cuban and Connecticut seed tobaccos. Danli and the Jamastran Valley is considered the heart of Honduras’ cigar industry. The Jamastran Valley is known for producing a full-bodied tobacco that draws strong comparisons to the tobacco grown in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba. This same region is also known for its Connecticut shade grown and Corojo shade grown tobacco. In addition, Honduras produces Cuban-seed sun grown filler tobaccos of the highest quality.

  The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
  Ecuadorian Habano wrapper has become one of the most used cigar wrappers in the market. Grown primarily by the Oliva family, this tobacco originated from Habano or H2000 seeds brought to Ecuador from Cuba. This leaf is rich and flavorful thanks to the temperate climate of Ecuador and the quality of its volcanic soil.

  The binder is a full tobacco leaf that is used to roll the cigar, binding the filler tobaccos together. 
  Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.
