At Neptune Cigars, we strive to offer our customers the widest selection of premium cigars possible. Unfortunately, due to state regulations, we are unable to ship flavored cigars to customers in California and Massachusetts.
California
California law prohibits the sale of most flavored tobacco products, including flavored cigars, to consumers within the state. The law was established through Senate Bill 793 (SB 793) and later upheld by California voters through Proposition 31, making the restrictions permanent. More recently, California expanded these requirements to include online and delivery sales, meaning retailers outside the state must also comply when shipping to California addresses.
Massachusetts
Massachusetts became the first state in the nation to enact a statewide prohibition on the sale of flavored tobacco products. Since June 1, 2020, retailers have been prohibited from selling flavored tobacco products, including flavored cigars, to Massachusetts consumers. The law applies regardless of whether the purchase is made in person or online.
What This Means for Your Order
If your order contains flavored cigars and your shipping address is located in California or Massachusetts, those products cannot legally be shipped. To remain compliant with state law, Neptune Cigars will either:
- Remove the restricted products from your order and refund the affected items, or
- Contact you to discuss available alternatives whenever possible.
