Daly Zigarren is a German based company that is dedicated to offering premium cigars in Europe. The Dalay Nicaragua cigar is one of their initial forays into the US market. The cigar features an all-Nicaraguan filler made of leaves from Jalapa, Esteli, Pueblo Nuevo, and Massatepe, which are regions in this Central American country that are known for exquisite tobacco. The filler is housed in a dual binder made of Brazilian Arapiraca and Ecuadorian Corojo ’98 leaves, which is then covered by an Ecuadorian Corojo ’98 wrapper. The cigar delivers a medium bodied smoking experience that appeals to both traditional and contemporary aficionados. The cigars are handmade by Luciano Tobaccos in Nicaragua.

Brazil grows tobacco from North to South. The East Central State of Bahia is an important cigar tobacco producer. The growing area is about 100 miles west of the state capital, Salvador da Bahia, an active port on the Atlantic Coast. The Northern State of Alagoas hosts a production around the city of Arapiraca where maduro wrappers are grown. The Southern states of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina produce tobacco for cigarettes and pipe.

Ecuador is the perfect place to grow binders, because it is located on the Equator and it has rich soils too. The weather conditions, with a nearly permanent cloudy sky, provide a natural shade, protecting the plants from sunshine and allowing the tobacco to grow thin and light. Ecuador supplies Connecticut and Sumatra type binders to many cigar factory in the world.

Luciano Tobaccos is a premium cigar manufacturer located in Nicaragua. The company was founded by Don Eradio Pichardo, a Cuban born tobacco agriculturist and master blender. Luciano Tobaccos produces cigars for some of the most highly recognized cigar brands in the world under nondisclosure agreements (NDAs). In 2019, Pichardo partnered with Luciano Meirelles and Tiago Splitter to form Luciano Cigars.
