Its light-brown Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper covers a Nicaraguan binder and filler. While small in stature, the Union Break is big in flavor starting with its sweet tip and then delivering creamy and spicy notes topped off with a tobacco sweetness. This climate allows tobacco growers to grow Connecticut-seed wrapper in the shade without shade cloths, resulting in more economical wrapper.

  Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.
