A smooth, medium-bodied cigar with a creamy profile accompanied by notes of spice, earth, coffee, and a touch of sweetness. Its Honduran and Nicaraguan filler and Honduran binder is cloaked in a Connecticut Shade wrapper. To protect the wrapper, the cigar is dressed in an actual candela (green) tobacco leaf, which is to be removed prior to smoking. The Oscar Connecticut is the third release of the ever popular The Oscar series, which was first introduced in 2016. The cigars are expertly handmade at Oscar Valladares’ own factory in Danli, Honduras.

  When first released in 2016, The Oscar cigar became an instant hit not only because of its excellent construction, savory flavor profile and appealing price, but because instead of using cellophane packaging, the cigar was wrapped in an actual verdant tobacco leaf. The Oscar Connecticut follows in the footsteps of its predecessors: the Maduro and the Habano. Like the two blends before it, the Connecticut uses a Honduran and Nicaraguan filler encased in a Honduran binder. However, for The Connecticut, this awesome blend is draped by a golden brown Connecticut Shade wrapper, which adds a smooth creamy dimension to its flavor profile. Once rolled, the cigars are placed in a collectible wooden box that was meticulously designed to resemble an actual cigar mold. The cigars are handmade at Oscar Valladares’ own factory in Danli, Honduras.

Danli and the Jamastran Valley is considered the heart of Honduras’ cigar industry. The Jamastran Valley is known for producing a full-bodied tobacco that draws strong comparisons to the tobacco grown in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba. This same region is also known for its Connecticut shade grown and Corojo shade grown tobacco. In addition, Honduras produces Cuban-seed sun grown filler tobaccos of the highest quality.
