Description
This medium to full-bodied smoke offers enticing notes of earth, spice, cedar and a pleasing sweetness. Its USA Connecticut Broadleaf Colorado Maduro wrapper covers a Mexican San Andres binder and long-filler leaves from Nicaragua and Honduras. The cigars are handmade at AJ Fernandez’s Tabacalera Fernandez factory in Nicaragua. The vitola’s name and its artwork was inspired by the bible story of “David and Goliath.” The centerpiece for this sought-after cigar is its wrapper. Since 2014, Foundation Cigars founder and master blender, Nicholas Melillo has worked in concert with farmers from the Connecticut River Valley to develop this exquisite wrapper. The wrapper is known for its attractive reddish hue and extreme oily nature and requires three years to ferment.

For me, this is almost the perfect cigar in what I am looking for. Such a well balanced flavor and smoking experience was tops. No need to touch up, burned even, easy draw and just smooth flavor. This cigar is a real treat for me when I get them. My only gripe is there isn’t enough of them.

A great perfecto. A medium plus to full smoke with lots of flavor and spice that approaches my threshold for strength without being overpowering. Smokey even burn with an ash that holds on. I'll be ordering more!

Surprisingly great draw and burn for a perfecto attests to this cigar's excellent construction. Spicy and peppery with dark chocolate and coffee like a good maduro should. I love Foundation maduros and this is another hit...
