Description
A well-balanced smoke with a smooth earthiness accompanied by notes of cedar and espresso. Its 12 year old Honduran Broadleaf wrapper covers a Honduran binder and a Dominican and Nicaraguan filler. The blend uses filler and binder tobacco that has been aged for 7 years. This specially curated and aged blend adds to the cigar’s complexity and offers a mild to medium smoking indulgence. The Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 is handmade in Honduras. Best of the Best in 2004 Robb Report and 92 in Cigar Aficionado.

Not a huge fan of these.

Good flavor on these, and a good looking cigar. However, on about half of them so far, the burn has been less than satisfactory. Two burned a tunnel up the middle of the cigar, which quickly made them unsmokable. Another just sort of stated collapsing sideways (not even sure what made it do that). Others were just difficult to keep from canoe-ing even with repeated corrections. The ones that burned well have been great. Just wish these were a bit more consistent on the burn.

Easy smoke but no real taste

Decent cigar .. as a Decade, ALR, and and Sun Grown fanatic, I found this one to be pretty "middle of the road"

So, for years this has been my "no questions asked" favorite cigar. Lately the burn has been uneven and the taste a bit too peppery for me. A bit dissapointing. Still good, but...
