The Montecristo 90th Anniversary is a limited-edition Nicaraguan puro crafted by Plasencia using tobaccos from four different regions in Nicaragua, finished with a rich Jalapa-grown wrapper. Originally created in Cuba in 1935, Montecristo has become one of the most iconic names in cigars. This blend will be offered in two sizes, the ultra-classic No. 2, and the Nacional. The Nacional, while keeping the torpedo vitola, is 5"1/2 * 56, a nod to the relatively new trend towards thicker gauges.  Here's to 90 years of timeless tradition and exceptional cigarmaking.

  The Montecristo 90th Anniversary is a small-batch release handcrafted by Plasencia in Nicaragua to honor nine decades of one of the cigar world’s most iconic brands. This Nicaraguan puro features tobaccos from Estelí, Condega, Jalapa, and Ometepe, with the wrapper grown in Jalapa. Blending tradition with modern refinement, the line includes both the classic No. 2 torpedo and a new Nacional size. The Montecristo brand was originally founded in Cuba in 1935. Ninety years later, we’re here with a cigar that nods to the past while standing firmly in the present.

  Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.
