Description
A full-bodied cigar with bold spicy, peppery, and leathery notes. Its Ecuadorian Habano wrapper tops a Nicaraguan binder and a Nicaraguan and Honduran filler. The Macanudo Inspirado Red was released as part of the brand’s 50th anniversary releases. The cigars are handmade in Nicaragua.

This cigar has a notably dense construction with a tightly-bound, toothy wrapper with no veins The draw was a little hard, but I was able to improve it by working the foot a little to loosen up the tobacco. It started out with green hay, but then switched to a sweet dark fruit (blackberry?) that remained for the rest of the smoke. There was only a slight sharpness to the tongue, the burn was even and resulted in a flaky 1" ash. It burned slowly, taking a little over 2 hours to smoke the toro size . Definitely will smoke again.

I’m normally not a “full/bold” smoker, but I actually love this one. Enjoyed with an Amber beer….was very good.
