Description
A medium to full-bodied cigar with an irresistible sweetness and hints of cocoa and coffee. Its oily USA Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper covers a Brazilian binder and a Honduran and Dominican filler. Handmade in Nicaragua, the Liga Privada No. 9 was originally a private blend that was eventually made available to the public and since then has become one of the most sought after cigars in the industry.

While I enjoy the Liga no. 9 line, the flying pig isn't a great format for this smoke in my opinion. Also, this is ridiculously overprices for the format.

Flavors bomb

Great cigar. Fun to smoke, delicious, strong flavor. Chocolate, coffee, and little sweetness and pepper.

What a great cigar! Bold, but smooth flavor, perfectly even burn, good smoke output, and held ash down to the band. I gotta agree with the reviewer that pointed out that Flying Pigs are just plain fun cigars.

There is a lot of hype around the Flying Pigs. Fair enough, there is nothing out there quite like them, and they also happen to be great cigars with a marvelous depth of flavor. They generally enjoy good construction --though mine have run the spectrum from pristine burns with ash stacking like quarters to wonky burns with draw issues. The thing about this cigar is that it's fun. Fun is a term carefully avoided in connoisseurship, but it's the clearest way of translating the Pig's appeal. It's fat in a way that's vaguely humorous, and its nicotine strength is absolutely astonishing for its size, which only adds to the cartoonish nature of this little cigar which resembles a warhead from Loony Toons with a tail like Porky Pig. The flavor, as you would expect from an oily, dark brown cigar with a huge ring gauge, is a wallop of dense notes of chocolate, black cherries, spice, cognac, and leather delivered in thick plumes of heavy smoke. The No.9 is essentially the flagship pig in the lineup, and it's probably the one you should try first. I didn't care for the T52, the H99 I enjoyed even more, and the 9 sits in the middle for me. There is also an Undercrown maduro 'Pig which is more affordable and nevertheless excellent, definitely more straightforward but with reliably perfect construction and draw -- solidly worthy of investigation for Liga Pig fans wanting to make this a more regular experience without spending $5 an inch. Believe the hype: this is a delicious, attractive, and unusually FUN cigar.

Great bold quick smoke! Love the flavors in a no. 9 and it’s not lost in this shorter smoke
