La Union Prominente Especial Red 7"1/4 * 50

The La Union Prominente Especial Red is the second release in the La Union line, introducing an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper with a shaggy foot (For My Father) and Connecticut Broadleaf wrappers with a closed foot (Para Tatuaje) over the García family’s Nicaraguan binder and filler. The Red edition provides most palates with a heavier-smoking experience than the Black series and offers collectors and connoisseurs a bold new chapter in this celebrated collaboration. This release further strengthens the bond between two of todays cigar royalty.

  In 2003 Tatuaje founder Pete Johnson chose My Father Cigars to craft his boutique premium cigars. Tatuaje became My Father Cigars first client. It was the start of a long and successful working relationship that was made in a tobacco field. To commemorate their union, they decided to create a limited-edition blend for each other and call it the La Union. The cigars are sold in a collectible humidor that stores 20 Tatuaje for My Father cigars and 20 My Father for Tatuaje. Each cigar in this limited-edition collection is a Prominente Especial (Churchill, 7”1/4*50). The humidor comes with a numbered XIKAR Perfect Xi1 cutter that was designed to celebrate this perfect union. The cigars are handmade by My Father Cigars in Nicaragua.

  My Father Cigars manufactures handmade premium cigars in Miami and Esteli, Nicaragua. The company is owned and operated by Don Pepin, his son Jaime, and his daughter Janny. The "Garcia Family Industrial Park" located in Esteli, Nicaragua is a seven-acre complex with 9 buildings, over 1900 employees, where the Garcias supervise their cigar production from the tobacco field to the roller's table. Their Miami headquarters house 12 rollers that make all of the company's "handmade in Miami" brands.

  Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.
