This beautiful old-world CT certainly reflects the delicious core of La Galera. No spice on light up, just mild smooth tobacco. It gives to some white pepper in the first third. Pepper gives to cream a bit before the second third. Then the white pepper re appears in the same proportion of the head as it arrived in the foot. Just notes. These do not take over the pallet. I love the 1960s type black & tan Honduran, but these show off their tobacco much better.

I am reviewing the La Galera Connecticut Chaveta Robusto today. It is composed of an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade Wrapper, with Dominican Filler and binder. This cigar is an excellent choice if you like smooth, creamy smokes just as much as I do. From the moment you light it, it feels super smooth on the palate, with flavors like cream, a bit of nuttiness, and good amounts of cedar. This cigar definitely surprised me with the woodiness it showed. This is an absolute gem for the price point. It's not too strong, not too mild, but just right, making it ideal for relaxing and a wonderful pairing with a morning coffee.
