This full-bodied smoke has a deliciously sweet profile with an earthy aroma and an excellent construction. Its chocolate-brown Oscuro Mexican wrapper covers a well-aged Nicaraguan binder and filler. La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Reserva is a follow-up to the very popular Mi Amor brand. The cigars are handmade in Nicaragua by Jose Pepin Garcia and Jaime Garcia of My Father Cigars for Ashton Cigars. The Pomposo is the only cigar in this line that is round as opposed to box pressed.

  La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Reserva is handmade for Ashton by Pepin and Jaime Garcia in Nicaragua, using a stunning dark "Oscuro" Mexican wrapper and a blend of aged Nicaraguan tobaccos. This full bodied cigar has been described as rich and decadent, with flavors reminiscent of chocolate, spice, and cedar. The Mi Amor Reserva cigars are loosely box pressed.

  My Father Cigars manufactures handmade premium cigars in Miami and Esteli, Nicaragua. The company is owned and operated by Don Pepin, his son Jaime, and his daughter Janny. The "Garcia Family Industrial Park" located in Esteli, Nicaragua is a seven-acre complex with 9 buildings, over 1900 employees, where the Garcias supervise their cigar production from the tobacco field to the roller's table. Their Miami headquarters house 12 rollers that make all of the company's "handmade in Miami" brands.

  The wrapper is the last tobacco leaf to be rolled on the cigar, so it is the one the smoker will see.
  Mexican tobacco is very dark and the best leaves can be used as maduro wrappers. In San Andres de Tuxtla (in the state of Vera Cruz), there is a very interesting production of Sumatra seed wrappers. Dark air cured tobaccos are produced in Mexico, mainly in Vera Cruz and Tampico provinces, on the East Coast along the Gulf. There is also some production in Yucatan. Mexico's volcanic soil yields tobacco that is spicy and earthy, with a very distinctive flavor.

  Nicaraguan cigar binders are produced mainly in Esteli and Jalapa, both lands with volcanic soil and excellent climate for growing tobacco. Binders grown in Jalapa have sweet undertones. Corojo, Habana2000, Criollo, and Maduro binders are all produced in Nicaragua.
